Plant Hide makes wallets from real teak leaves — pressed, treated and hand-finished in our Chiang Mai workshop. It’s not synthetic leather, not PU plastic, and not a gimmick. Leaf leather is a genuine natural material with a texture and character that comes from the leaf itself.
We make bifold wallets, minimalist cardholders and slim wallets in a range of natural colours. Every wallet is 100% vegan, cruelty-free and shipped in plastic-free packaging.
What Makes a Leaf Leather Wallet Different
Most wallets — even “vegan” ones — are made from PU leather, which is a type of plastic. It eventually cracks, peels and ends up in landfill. Leaf leather wallets are made from a natural plant-based material that is biodegradable, sustainably sourced and genuinely free from animal products.
Beyond the environmental story, there’s the visual one. Each leaf has its own grain, its own texture, its own natural variation. The wallet you receive won’t look exactly like anyone else’s — and that’s the point.

We currently make leaf leather wallets in two main styles — bifold wallets and minimalist cardholders — available in a range of natural leaf leather colours including deep red-brown, forest green, natural tan and charcoal.
