We work with a small group of local craftsmen in the Land of Smiles (Thailand) to ethically produce our leaf leather collection. Our Ruby Red Leaf Leather Bifold Wallets are handmade by skilled hands, ensuring Mother Nature’s designs withstand the test of time.
All leaf designs featured in our leaf leather collection are totally unique, made by Mother Nature herself. The color and markings of each wallet vary with the age of the leaves.

What Is Leaf Leather?
Plant Hide Leaf Leather is handcrafted from sustainably harvested Teak leaves. After the leaves are gathered, they’re colored and sealed using a non-toxic biofilm, perfectly preserving Mother Nature’s designs.
Unlike the fresh leaves found in a forest, leaf leather is reinforced for strength. This special treatment ensures its durability. Our finished vegan leather is waterproof and tear-resistant, making it one of the best options for handmade products!
Leaf leather also ages incredibly well. As it gets worn-in, it develops fabulous texturing.
Handcrafted, High-Quality
Growing up in Thailand, I lived fewer than 15 minutes from the leaf leather craftsmen. These are the members of my community I now work with, designing and producing cruelty-free leaf leather products.
Plant Hide is proud to represent these local craftsmen. As we grow, we’ll continue working with other artisans to design more high-quality Plant Hide collections.
What Makes Leaf Leather So Special?
We prefer leaf leather over materials like faux leather, PU leather, and other synthetic materials. Unlike other synthetic leathers, the leaves depict this natural beauty in a sustainable way.
Our leaf leather products don’t have any funky odors, and they look better and last longer than products made with synthetic materials. We also avoid using harmful chemicals to create our leaf leather material.
Just like leaves falling from a tree, no two pieces are alike. Every Plant Hide product is its own masterpiece co-crafted by Mother Nature (and our artisans).
